Gastronomic tourism has become an increasingly
important niche sector in the quality visitor market

Gourmet Food Trails developed from an idea by Carol Wilson and Alison Davies, to offer a speciality service that aims to offer bespoke, up-market tours of Cheshire for food-lovers visiting the northwest of England.

Discover hidden gems, new foods and flavours including artisan breads, butter, cheeses, cakes, chocolates, honey, meat, poultry and game with Gourmet Food Trails. Our experienced Food Trails combine their skills, resources and experience to give you an exclusive and memorable experience.

Gastronomic tourism has become an increasingly important niche sector in the quality visitor market, and Cheshire is well placed to take advantage of this growth in interest with its wealth of specialist producers and foods, eating places and food history.

Gourmet Food Trails can provide a food tour tailored to individual interest and requirements, although there will be a restriction on maximum numbers in order to maintain a high level of personal care and attention. Travel will be by luxury minibus.

Carol and Alison live in the region. Carol has also led food tours for organizations such the Guild of Food Writers. Their knowledge and contacts in the food world enable them to offer prospective clients special ‘behind the scenes’ access, the chance to meet well-known culinary figures and sample top produce in the congenial company of two leading gastronomic authorities.
